Editor’s Note: Owen Lessiter, Brookfield Central High School Class of 2023, came in just under the wire with his final project before graduation. Assigned to conduct and record a professional interview for a public speaking course, he squeezed in an “meeting” on June 4 with his dad, Mike Lessiter, Lessiter Media President.
In between a few laughs and several unrelated tangents, the pair explores Mike’s entry into business journalism, college life, his career start in Chicago in 1992 and the answering of the call back to the family business in Wisconsin in the fall of 2003.
Following his high school graduation, Owen is joining Lessiter Media as a summer intern before starting his collegiate career in the fall at the University of Minnesota.
