Digital Marketing Coordinator

Summary

The Digital Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions across all Lessiter Media properties. Under the direction of the Brand Manager you will be responsible to help develop and deploy all inbound marketing efforts to generate revenue, increase email capture rate, and collect relevant demographic information to build Lessiter Media’s Unified Audience Database. Digital Marketing Coordinators will have a primary focus by assigned title and will be responsible for both:

  1. Audience Development: Building the top end of the marketing funnel (audience growth). Responsible for all marketing efforts that are not revenue generating including but not limited to; webinars, podcasts, e-books, ASP’s and social media.
  2. Revenue Generation: Generating revenue through print and digital promotions to paid registrations, paid subscriptions and products.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Campaign Development. Responsible for help in developing and executing all marketing, promotion strategies, and the creation of marketing materials for subscriptions, events, lead generation, webinars, podcasts and advertising sales promotions utilizing all available marketing channels. Work with design group; provide marketing and promotional guidance for responsive design. Share results.
  2. Testing, Analytics & Reporting. Help set up testing programs to determine maximum response rates. Will be the key interpreter of data, developing actionable insights for promotional enhancement and growth. Work with digital media to develop reporting standards to help achieve growth.
  3. Content Strategy. Work closely with editorial team, sharing promotional insights and making content marketing recommendations that help grow audience and engagement.
  4. Paid Marketing. Determine the most strategic use of the PPC and search marketing.
  5. E-Newsletters. Provide content insight to editorial to identify opportunities to grow our subscription base and create new email products.
  6. Social Media. Work with digital media and editorial teams to develop and implement social media strategy for distributing content, engaging followers and collecting email addresses across all social platforms.
  7. Industry Knowledge. Continually evaluate and provide recommendations to new social/digital platforms and maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital and print marketing trends and developments.
  8. Partnerships & Outreach. Develop and maintain relationships with social and digital influencers, sponsors, and manufactures to drive content distribution and audience growth.
  9. Budgeting. Responsible for development of annual marketing budgets and ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  10. Web. Responsible for updating conference web pages, maintaining products in online store, designing and developing web pages with embedded order forms.
  11. Public Relations. Responsible for maximizing exposure for all Lessiter Media events, new product launches and non-editorial industry announcements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Additional duties as assigned by Chairman, President or Brand Manager.

  2. Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing and/or Digital Marketing.
  3. A minimum of 1-3 years of marketing experience. Preferably in publishing or media.
  4. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Dedicated to going the extra mile. Problem solver, organized and self motivated.
  5. Must have in-depth understanding and experience with both print and digital marketing models.
  6. Fluency in key marketing concepts and tools including email, social media marketing, publicity and channel marketing to help drive demand and sales
  7. Ability to work closely with design team, and to influence and train them on marketing principles and best practices.
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, both written and oral.

  2. Knowledge of printing, print production, lettershop and Omeda database management procedures. PC skills including Microsoft Office, subscription-fulfillment email deployment software.
