Brand Manager

Overview

Lessiter Media is seeking a results-oriented and strategic Brand Manager to lead the development, execution, and ongoing optimization of brand strategies for its Conservation Ag Division. This division focuses on promoting conservation agricultural practices, soil health, cover cropping, crop rotation, water stewardship, and innovative conservation methods that benefit both growers and the environment.

The Brand Manager will play a critical role in building and maintaining a strong, consistent brand identity that resonates with our audiences—especially those committed to conservation and supports business growth rooted in environmental responsibility.

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our products, services, and marketing efforts effectively connect with target customers in the conservation and sustainable agriculture audience. You will shape how each brand is perceived in the market by driving strategy, managing campaigns, monitoring industry trends, and using performance data to enhance brand perception and drive revenue.

Duties

  • Developing and executing brand strategies
  • Create and refine brand guidelines, value propositions, and positioning statements.

Managing brand campaigns

  • Plan and oversee integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising, promotions, public relations, and events.
  • Ensure campaigns increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and conversion.

Conducting market research and competitive analysis

  • Monitor industry and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Gather customer insights and analyze competitors to inform strategic decisions.

Creating and managing brand assets

  • Develop and maintain brand assets including logos, style guides, taglines, and messaging.
  • Ensure consistent application across all platforms, from print to digital and social media.

Fundraising for the Conservation Ag Foundation 501(c)(3)

  • Lead and execute fundraising strategies to support a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance conservation agriculture, including donor cultivation, grant writing, sponsorship development, and stewardship of existing funders.
  • Identify and engage prospective individual, corporate, and foundation donors aligned with sustainable farming, soil health, and conservation priorities.

Measuring and reporting on brand performance

  • Track brand KPIs and campaign metrics, including engagement, customer perception, and sales performance.
  • Provide regular reporting with actionable insights to guide future efforts.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams

  • Work closely with editorial, marketing, digital, sales, and product development teams to align brand initiatives with business goals.
  • Serve as the brand steward across all departments and customer touchpoints.

Managing budgets and timelines

  • Plan, create, and manage brand campaign budgets, ensuring strategic allocation of resources.
  • Oversee project scopes and timelines to ensure campaigns are executed efficiently and stay within budget.

Staying informed about industry trends and best practices

  • Continuously explore emerging marketing tools, brand strategies, and digital innovations to enhance performance and competitiveness.
  • Define and differentiate each brand’s voice, look, and tone to align with target audiences.

Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a similar role. Preferably in publishing or media.
  • Deep understanding of brand strategy, visual identity, and positioning.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and turn insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, CRM platforms, ESP platforms, Canva, and CMS systems.
  • Team leadership or cross-functional project experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills. Dedicated to going the extra mile. Problem solver, organized and self motivated.
  • Must have in-depth understanding and experience with both print and digital marketing models.
  • Fluency in key marketing concepts and tools including email, social media marketing, publicity and channel marketing to help drive demand and sales
  • Proficiency in content marketing, digital campaign strategy, and SEO best practices.
  • Ability to work closely with the design team, and to influence and educate them on marketing principles and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, both written and oral.
  • Have the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment. Will seamlessly fit as a member of a team where individuals are empowered to make a genuine impact on the business.
  • Knowledge of printing, print production, lettershop and Omeda database management procedures. PC skills including Microsoft Office, subscription-fulfillment email deployment software.
