Pam Lessiter Scholarship

From the July 2018 Lessiter Link newsletter

In 2016, Frank and Mike established the Pam Lessiter Legacy Scholarship to honor Pam’s long-lasting contributions to LM. Along with her husband, Frank, Pam co-founded LM in 1981 and played a key role in guiding it through some challenging periods. Pam has been dedicated to hard work, self-improvement and continuing education — the values that became the impetus for a scholarship program to encourage the recipients to use their God-given talents.

The Pam Lessiter Legacy Scholarship is provided to college-age children of Lessiter Media employees who are diligently working toward completion of an accredited post-secondary educational degree. Recipients are eligible to receive $500 per semester, up to $1,000 per year for 4 years.

This year, LM has awarded 24 scholarships, totaling $12,000 to 12 recipients of 8 staff members. Those recipients include:

Andrew Bruggink, son of Darrell and Beth, a Business major entering his junior year at Wisconsin Lutheran College where he will also play basketball.

Courtney Brown, Jeff and Susan Cota’s daughter, attending UW-Parkside where she is entering her junior year as a Computer Engineer major.

Cate Ellis, daughter of Michael and Terri, returning to UW-Oshkosh in the fall as a sophomore where she is studying Elementary and Special Education.
