Position: Deutz-Fahr Brand Manager

Reports To: PFG America Sales Manager

Purpose of Position

The Deutz-Fahr Brand Manager role is a critical position within PFG America, to facilitate increased sales and dealer support of our core model range, Deutz-Fahr Tractors. This position reports directly to the PFG America Sales Manager and holds primary responsibility for driving the annual product, sales and marketing strategy and implementation for Deutz-Fahr.

The role is one of the most exciting, dynamic and collaborative in the company, requiring an individual who can work effectively across PFG America departments, with dealers, customers, and suppliers. 

The key areas of focus in this role will be Product Training, Product Marketing and Sales.

This position requires very strong communication skills, both written and verbal, great attention to detail and tech savvy. Above all, the person must be a confident self-starter, who can take charge of delivering multiple projects on-time and budget. 

The role will require travel at times, including both domestic and international.

Key Responsibilities

The Deutz-Fahr Brand Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of the following functions in conjunction with the PFG America Sales Manager and key staff.

  1. Product Management
    Manage all areas of the product, from setting specification and pricing to special projects on ancillary products. This includes regular communication with the factory on requesting specification and outlining American market needs.
  2. Market Analysis
    Analyze and report on market trends, to help the business make informed decisions on areas such as product specification, model introductions, model range, marketing propositions and sales campaigns.
  3. Product Training
    Work with the Product Training Manager to help develop product training modules, create competitor comparisons, run training events, and onboard new dealers.
  4. Sales
    Work with the Sales Manager and dealers to drive monthly wholesale and retail sales, including monthly promotions, order writing programs, dealer visits and product support.
  5. Trade Shows
    Support marketing, sales and dealers at national and regional farm shows
  6. Marketing Collateral
    Support marketing with the development of marketing collateral including; brochures, specification sheets, POS, sales guides, product comparisons ect.

Required Competencies

  1. Must have worked in the agricultural machinery industry for at least three years
  2. Must be a product focused individual who understands tractor operation and usage, and can confidently operate heavy machinery.
  3. Must have sales experience or exposure to working with sales teams 
  4. Experience managing events, copy writing, and marketing
  5. Communication
    To clearly and confidently communicate, verbally and in writing, with people at all levels and of various backgrounds.
  6. Organization Skills
    Set priorities and have a planned approach to ensure that all tasks are effectively carried out within expected time frames.
  7. Self Motivation
    Work efficiently to meet objectives, with minimal supervision.
  8. Education
    A candidate with education in business or marketing is preferred.

Renumeration

The remuneration package for this role will vary based on the applicant’s experience and expertise and will include a bonus component linked to Deutz-Fahr sales performance.

The role will include provision of a company vehicle, fuel card, laptop and cellphone.
